Dakota Horizon Express JH February 2004 |
Dakota Horizon Express JH is David's personal hunting dog, as well as Number 1 guide dog. We picked her from a litter of 13 healthy puppies in 1998. We have hunted her on all wild birds. Dakota is full of natural ability; point, back, and retrieve to hand. She is a good looking dog, an athlete with a lot of desire and hunt, and is always wanting to please in the field. This fall David decided to take Dakota to a hunt test. She passed four consecutive Tests at the Junior Hunter level last fall. We will continue to train her for her Senior Hunter, David has recently joined NAVHDA and plans to enter Dakota in their Hunting Tests as well. Dakota was conventionally trained, and bred with every natural ability a man could look or wish for. These traits convinced David that we had a dog that had potential for breeding, campaigned or not. This January we made the decision that we were going to have Dakota bred. At close to six years of age; her hips and elbows were OFA certified as ''Good''. After looking locally for some time at Hunt Tests, Gun Clubs, and several litters, we decided to search the internet. After months worth of pedigree research, we decided on a fine looking stud that was a house dog as well as a Number one guide dog. He is double bred ""DC/AFC Stradivarius Baroque,"" he has a great disposition and a pedigree with perhaps some of the greatest concentration of Germany's leading sire Axel V.Wasserschling, through sons Peron and Esser's Chick. With many Dual Champions on both side's of his pedigree. DC Hillhaven Hustler, DC Esser's Duke VD Wildburg, DC Ybold Rothenuffeln, DC Kay VD Wildburg and DC Timberdoodle's Lancers Answer |

Hali's Horizon Express January 2005
|
Hali is fifteen months old in this picture. After looking at several litter's, David found this pup. Ironically, she has the same Dam side on her pedigree as Dakota.. Possibly future breeding stock! She is developing pretty fast and will hopefully have good first season this fall. We plan on Hunt Testing her this summer. Hali is AKC and NAVHDA registered. Hali has received three legs of her AKC Junior Hunter Title this summer all before she was 10 months old. We will continue to train Hali for more Tests. Hali received a NA Prize1 112 at 10 months, a perfect score. We had alot of fun with this little girl this year, she helped out with the guided hunts and learned how to hunt like a seasoned bird dog, best off all her natural ability to retrieve came out and is very strong. Hali has an incredible ability to adjust to any type of cover that we hunt, always checking in to make sure we're behind. She seemed to mature so rapidly like she knew what was expected of her. Hali has had a few ducks shot over her this year as well, she hits the water like a retriever, a true versatile dog. Hali is also a very biddable dog with good manners. SOLD |

Trace is a pup from Dakota, that David has been working with for our kennel's future. She is AKC and NAVHDA registered. Trace has had 100's of wild pheasants shot over point, retrieved dozen's of Canadian Geese in the field and several Ducks as well.. Trace is very staunch on point, backs and retrieves very naturally. She is also a very biddable dog. We feel that she has potential to produce a Dual-Type dog like her Sire, Grand Dam and Grand Sire as well as her dual Great Grandfather "DC AFC Stradivarius Baroque". She has a very nice disposition at home and in the field she is all business. Trace received a NAVHDA Natural Ability Prize1 112, a perfect score. We will be training Trace for the Fall "07" NAVHDA Utility Test as well as the Senior Level in AKC. Trace has inherited many fine qualities and natural traits, that she will be able to pass on to our line of foot hunting companion/gun dogs. Trace has been OFA Hip Certified "Good". Trace is now three years old, picking up where her mother left off. Trace and her litter mates set the bar pretty high, we plan to continue with quality breeding stock like this dog for our kennels future.

Both Rudy and Indy have been hunted exclusively on wild birds, they are also "OFA" hip Certified "Good". Pups were whelped Nov 13th. 2006 Planned Breeding INDY X RED We have been working with a couple of pups from Indy's last litter and have seen alot of natural pointing, retrieving, and hunting instincts. These pups also possess good looks and trainability. Due to the potential we have seen we thought we would breed her one last time, We have found a very nice Stud dog that has a great disposition, good conformation, and bird sense. He has a NAVHDA Natural Ability Prize 1 110, he has been Penn-Hip Certified. Indy is a Great mother, good looking, calm dog that has alot of desire to find game, land or water. She is OFA Hip Certified "Good." Pups were whelped July 23, and will be ready to go Sept 16 2007 Planned breeding TRACE X LUCKY This decision on a stud dog was a tough one, we considered alot of very nice very Titled stud dog's. We did not put this breeding together for titles or convenience but for other reasons. We decided on this mating for several other more significant reasons; like genetics, motherline principle's, choosing a stud dog with complimentary motherlines betters the chance of consistent classy breeding stock. This mating will be based on Pure Old German Shorthair bloodlines. Heavy influence from Wendy Vom Enzstrand, DC Stradivarius Baroque, DC Hillhaven's Hustler, KS Zobel Vom Hege Haus, CH Torannie's Flo of Hustleberg, DC Timberdoodle's Lancer Answer, DC Shillrest's Impressive, among many other great wild Bird dog's.
